It is used for treatment of endometriosis. It is a condition when the tissue similar in structure to the inner mucous membrane of the uterus (endometrium) is found elsewhere, usually in the pelvis, around the uterus, and in the ovaries. The most common symptoms of endometriosis are pelvic pain, painful, sometimes irregular or abundant menstruation. Pain during or after sexual intercourse and impaired fertility may occur.
Endomeklin® contains the progestogen dienogest. Daily administration of Endomeklin®, tablets, results in a reduction or complete disappearance of pain, a reduction of foci of the disease and other symptoms of endometriosis.
It is used for the treatment of endometriosis in adults and children aged 12 to 18 years after the onset of menarche (first menstruation).
